Sisters…

I have been thinking a lot about my sister and her family out in Seattle in the last weeks. As I sit before my computer and wait for edits to process, I thought I would post these for a sister whom I know had a very big role in helping one of my recent weddings. Where would we be without our sisters?

In love | Seattle babies are cute too.

I am in love with my niece. I would argue that she was born on the wrong coast. Se is certainly too far away for my liking. I hate that I will only get to see her a few times a year. I guess that is what happens when your sister finds an awesome guy out West and they both love Seattle. Sigh. But I couldn’t ask for a better place to visit. Seattle is awesome. (In big part because it now has little Aziza in it)

I have written about this before. I do love a photo of a crying baby. Because everything about a baby this age is genuine. And even though looking at a photo like this wrenches me a little inside- there is beauty in the rawness of it. And for a parent this expression makes a lasting imprint on ones emotions. It is the face you may see at 2 in the morning.
Or when you are just sitting down for dinner.
Or after the sweetest snuggle-fest ever.
You can’t help but want to make it all better for her.
And then it does, just as fast as it came. Okay for some babies, not as fast as others-trust me, I know. Anyhow. I like to document it.

See… and then they look at you like this and you melt a little.

Always welcome

These 5 are always welcome in our home. With our combined 5 kids, somehow it was quieter than our normal weekends with just two. And they came with sleeves rolled up and ready to work.
A whole painted living room, many yummy meals and a few nice outings in Providence later and we sadly had to bid them farewell. Our kids keep asking when they will be back, we are wondering the same thing. :)

Jeesh. Parents can be so embarrassing.
