Getting to photograph a newborn is one of my favorite things to do…
Well I have a great job so I have a lot of favorite things that I do. Designing the announcements that will hang on people’s fridges all over the country, heralding the arrival of cuteness-swaddled is pretty awesome too. I had so little time to do it for my own kids. I think it was rather late that I was actually able to send them out…I did manage to get them out before sending first year birthday party invitations-better than one friend of mine (not that I am competing)
Anyhow, here is a recent design for the ever lovely Julia.
I don’t think it shows up here as well as I had hoped, but these cards are press printed on beautiful linen paper with special UV coating. It gives the cards this really nice feel in the hand.
I am also honored to photograph her Aunt and soon to be Uncle’s wedding in August. Yay for more favorite things to do.

Cards in time for the holidays
For last minute card orders please chose from one of these card designs. For last minute card orders please choose from one of these above card designs.
All you need do is:
1. Chose your card style
2. Select your image from any session within the last year.
3. Indicate number of cards you would like to receive.
4. Any changes to text or adding of names, etc
I will then send you a mock up for your approval and an invoice with a way for you to pay securely online and… presto! Within a week you should have your cards!

I love announcement cards. Babies this age make me smile on the inside. Sigh.
I don’t really remember designing Dunedin’s and Griffins announcement card. I do remember that I misspelled something important on her card and had to reorder (I will blame it on lack of sleep not my esteemed public elementary school) And Griffin’s card didn’t even make it to all the people on my list. I found a stack of un-mailed cards almost a year after his birth. It is hard to get things straight when you cant stop staring at the perfect little being you have created.
Not sure which of these cards I like best.
