lovely young ladies

I had the pleasure of doing a photo session for some lovely young ladies who live in my neighborhood. How time flies. I remember meeting their mom, J, when I first moved to Providence while attending our library’s story hour. I still just trying to figure out how to juggle my second along with the needs of my 1st. I have to admit I hardly remember what we talked about- I think I was averaging 3 hours of sleep at the time. Even though we really don’t live all that far away, I hadn’t seen J all that much. Life gallops on with work and family and all the things that clutter in between the two. I was so pleased to get an email from her a few weeks back about doing some portraits. I couldn’t wait to see how big her youngest had gotten.
J and her husband seem to navigate having 2 with ease. The girls are totally precious and have the most luscious eyes. See for yourself.

I should have perhaps mentioned the other two kids… They were cute too.

Thought I would add a couple of a budding photographer as well.

Thanks J- hope to see you around soon!

dog days end

And just like that, the dog days of summer have come to an end. We celebrated 2009′s summer’s demise in Vermont with some friends, 2 legged and 4.
Here sits Emmit, proud NYC dog, acting as tough as he can with our “Wildlife” stamping at his heals.

Dunedin spend a good part of this evening asking after her friend Emmit. She would never get this close to a human she had met in just one weekend, but had no problem sidling up to this canine variety.

Zander and Griffin determined to get in on the cuteness. I need to point out that my son (I swell with pride at the thought of this) brought out this chair when he saw us taking photos outside. A son who knows how to please his photographer mommy.

whether you have paws or toes, grass just feels good underneath them

The rare photo of me. Jesse (the photog of this shot below) has no idea how hard it normally is to pry a camera out of my hands, she should ask my husband. He almost lost a finger once.

Griffin, showing off his portrait sitting skills

Griffin, done with the session, cleans up his own props.

How I feel right now

Couldn’t of said it better myself, William.

But I need to download, organize and back up my images from the last 2 days- So I might as well share a couple from today with the Kelso Contingency.

How psyched is Peter to be a big Brother!

Wishing the newborn and his tribe as much sleep as can be sent their way! I will try to post some more in the next few days so Cassie and Jed’s family can get a better peek at their newest little member of their family. Cheers!
