Let’s start with Little Rose. Who is perfect and sweet and in these photos, 5 days old.

Now that we have noted her perfection, I think it is time to address her head of hair! Who comes out with hair this cute and thick? Or looking like she just had it shaped at the salon?

For that matter, what parents look so good while managing a newborn and a toddler in a cast?

And what toddler looks this happy and adorable while immobilized in a leg cast?

And… who would place a newborn in a chair with as much family/sibling history* as this one?

* I don’t know all of the specifics, but it seems the chair was used, on a few occasions, as a weapon by Rose’s Aunt during Rose’s mother’s own childhood. Since I have a few similar accusations held against me as an older sibling, I will refrain from any form of judgment. We are all hoping that history does not repeat itself.

Sweet Julia | Newborn Announcements
Getting to photograph a newborn is one of my favorite things to do…
Well I have a great job so I have a lot of favorite things that I do. Designing the announcements that will hang on people’s fridges all over the country, heralding the arrival of cuteness-swaddled is pretty awesome too. I had so little time to do it for my own kids. I think it was rather late that I was actually able to send them out…I did manage to get them out before sending first year birthday party invitations-better than one friend of mine (not that I am competing)
Anyhow, here is a recent design for the ever lovely Julia.

I don’t think it shows up here as well as I had hoped, but these cards are press printed on beautiful linen paper with special UV coating. It gives the cards this really nice feel in the hand.
I am also honored to photograph her Aunt and soon to be Uncle’s wedding in August. Yay for more favorite things to do.
Sitting portraits like a pro | Boston Newborn Portraits
Meet George on his first portrait sitting. 2 weeks old and he already knows how to nap in a chair.

There is something about newborns that makes me giddy on the inside. It must be the scrunchiness, the wrinkles, the ability to sleep in positions unfathomable,

or not…

the way they can stop you in your tracks when they make eye contact

the way they channel their inner old man…

Or how, even when they don’t let thier parents sleep they still make every one around look as happy as this.

Congrats again to George’s proud parents. You guys have done well for yourselves (and George didn’t seem to make out so bad either)
Sweet Baby J
Babies don’t often come cuter than this. Baby J here is also quite advanced. She rolled from stomach to back during our session. I have never seen that before from a newborn less than a week old. I am convinced she was just trying to find the “good light” for my pictures.

This is her showing me her inner tiger.

And her handlers…

Right before she rolled… Look at her lifting up her head. This is a baby who may not be too into “tummy time”

Resting after a tough days work…

Brown Eyed Girls
2 more lovely ladies with big beautiful eyes. These big girls now get to welcome Ben, their cousin, into the family. The 3 year old explained that her sister (4 months) was zero and her cousin Ben (one month) was REALY zero. Got to love the logic (and future mathmatician).
