I just stumbled upon this site, e.m.papers, and thought I would share it with my some of my clients and friends. For those of you looking for higher-end design and quality invitations, this site has a lot to offer. What caught my eye today was the *free!* printable wedding invitations that come as an editable PDF. You can download and update with your own information. Then all you need to do is find some nice paper to print on, address the envelopes and send. Take it from a person who hand made and folded all of her own invitations… Unless you really like crafting, folding, and papercuts, this is a great way to go. The above Black and White one is free to download, but there were many other collections that you could choose from that may fit your style better, and why not support a site that does all of the heavy design lifting for you?

What photography can show
“Photographs emulate the way our mind sees a significant moment.” David Griffin, The photo director for National Geographic.
He talks about how we think and feel in pictures. What the difference between and amateur and pro is. What it takes to make a life of incredible photographs for photojournalists. If you have 15 minutes check out his talk on TED:
Yup somehow we made it to two.
My baby turned 2 a few days ago. Sniff.
He was thrilled. I can’t believe what a lovely little man he has become. He doesn’t fit on the guitar any more… not that he doesn’t try.

Dunedin was Uberjoyed to help with this cake. We almost had to have chocolate covered fingers on the cake instead of strawberries at the rate they would sneak into her mouth.
Can I just note… this photo came from my Iphone. For a web photo, not so bad!
Movie I would have loved to make
So I need to just drool a bit at the preview for a documentary I just saw. Before I start, I should preface this post by asserting that I am not, in the least bit, pregnant.
The film by Thomas Barnes, “Babies”, is described on his site as: “Capturing on film the earliest stages of the journey of humanity that are at once unique and universal to us all.”
It follows the 1st year of 4 children living in very different societies and from the 2.5 minute preview the photography alone made me coo… Then there are the cute babies.
from around the world, from Mongolia to Namibia to San Francisco to Tokyo.
See the preview for yourself! Some of the films photography is just exquisite.
What I could use right now

As I sit at my desk ready to plunge into some wedding album designs. My mind has been wandering towards a coffee break. As in the kind I had in Costa Rica after a tour of the Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation and Inn. It was a really fascinating look into the world of organic, shade grown, micro coffee production. Most of the coffee had already been picked but there was a few beans left on the plants as we walked through. Organic farming is really quite an undertaking.
Below is a short clip about the Coffee Plantation that aired on the Live Well HD Network.
