repetition

Have I mentioned that my children can repeat patterns of play? Perhaps you noticed the last post where they had been practicing multiple versions of the same script. Here the genre is the same, one child in container, other child decides to join, Cuteness squeezes in but finds there really isn’t room for 3, skirmish ensues, repeat.

Announcement cards

I love doing announcement cards. I love receiving them. They make me happy. I love knowing that a parent’s chosen photos hang on family and friend’s fridges across the world.
Here are a few samples I worked on today.

Hours and Hours.

This is what D and G can spend hours doing. Climbing in and out of this wagon. Over and over. Again and again.
The script is always the same:*

“Hey! Look at me! I’m in the wagon!”
“Cool! I’ll join you!”
“Yay!”
“Now that I am in here, it occurs to me, your leg is in my space.”
“Funny, I was just noticing that your elbow was in my face.”
“Uh-Oh! Mom’s coming. Quick- hug me really hard and look cute or she might make us both get out.”

*note: They take turns with the parts. One part of the script is often read with shrill cries and grunts- we will have to work on diction… As the script continues both actors work them selves into a squealing frenzy preparing for their Oscars.
