In case of a fire

I have decided I need to re-frame the way I think of my son. Instead of thinking of him as a child that spends his days plotting ways get out of hands, arms and house reach, I shall now think of him as one who will be able to get himself out in the case of a fire. He has escaped our home (found emergency exits) 2 times now. And I won’t go into the incident that occurred at the coffee shop…
This cat door was installed by our upstairs neighbor in order to keep G in (or out) when they need to leave the door open for their cats. Turns out he just found a better way to get in/out. It also provides him with hours of amusement. (and to be honest, quite a bit for us as well). He figured out the door well before the cats. I am not sure where this puts him on his milestone chart…
